Strawberry Fields Forever

My sister Rachael requested some jam making lessons. I had a final exam to take. So I made her a deal. I would teach her how to make jam if she watched Sawyer while I took the exam. Their family moved to the Raleigh area last summer and we have been so blessed to see them much more. Sawyer's cousins have been excited to show him all the fun activities they do. We started our weekend with a trip to a local strawberry farm. Summer & I helped the boys pick and Rachael got some snuggles with a stuffy, congested Sawyer.

The farm had a very friendly cat

  1. Did you go to Vollmer Farms (I think that's the name...)? That's where we went! It's not too far from Rachael, I think.

And does Sawyer have a self-made mohawk??

Work this Body

We haven't had an eventful week. After the craziness of last week, I am incredibly happy about that. Oscar was 10 weeks old yesterday. It's unbelievable how fast time is passing. Ten weeks postpartum, I am only eight pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. However, my body is much softer and hips are much wider. I am still having trouble fitting into pre-pregnancy clothes. I decided to pick up my workouts in addition to the stepbet that I am already doing. However, those two things can sometimes be in conflict with each other. My body definitely needs the strength workouts, but I am not able to squeeze in a walk in addition to the workout, so in order to make my steps, I am having to get creative. This week I started a new Nike Training Club plan. NTC is a free app that I use to giv...

All (S)He Wants to Do is Dance

Sawyer has shown an interest in music and dancing and gets really excited when one or the other is happening. Our friend Derrell (after whom Sawyer is named) was over the other night and they were dancing on the changing table. I only caught the tail end on video but the way he's laughing at the beginning of the video was the way he was squealing for a good 5 minutes. It was so cute to watch.
